Productive start to 2021
Four articles have already been published since the new year and the highlight is a recent paper published in Nature Ecology & Evolution. The paper, lead by collaborators at University of Sheffield, investigates the impacts of wildlife trade and shows that trade is highly detrimental to animal populations, even within protected areas. The results attracted plenty of attention from the media, including The Guardian and Science.
Other significant contributions so far this year include a paper on dung beetles and oil palm, tropical secondary forest regeneration and buffalo in Amazonian wetlands.
